The “Ziz Cult” or “Zizians” are a transgender, anarchist, vegan, “rationalist” group known for their likely association with up to six murders across the United States. The group’s assumed leader Jack Lasota faked his death in 2022, only to reemerge later that year as a suspect linked to various violent crimes. In November 2022, the group was sued for refusing to pay rent by their elderly landlord, Curtis Lind. Lind was impaled in the eye and then stabbed 50 times by Zizians, but survived. In December of 2022, the elderly parents of one group member were found murdered in their home; Zizians were suspected, but no arrests were made. In January of 2025, Lind was found dead before he could testify in his case of attempted murder against the Zizians; a Ziz cult member has been charged with his homicide. Later that month, two Ziz members opened fire and killed U.S. Border Patrol agent David Maland during a traffic stop. On February 16, 2025, cult leader Lasota and two other Ziz cult members were arrested on various charges, including trespassing, obstructing and hindering, and possession of a handgun.
A prolific TikToker, on February 5, 2025 Hunt posted a video highlighting the historical assassinations of political leaders carried out by John Wilkes Booth, Lee Harvey Oswald, and the Roman senators who assassinated Julius Caesar. Hunt stated it was “disappointing” that the political climate has changed since then and wished “our political system would allow the public to hold leaders accountable” by “permanently put[ting] and end to their actions.”
On February 13, 2025, in response to news that the National Park Service removed transgender references from the Stonewall monument website, Bernstein posted a call on X, saying “‘LGB’ we need to start k!lling people.” The self-described “queer jew” has a history of expressing support for Hamas, the transgender movement, and illegal immigration.
A former director of government affairs for CAIR, Shalash was videotaped shouting expletives such as “F*ck the Jew” and “F*ck the Zionists,” and “I demand jihad, I want ISIS to kill all of you” towards Jewish men in a building in Midtown Manhattan in New York City. Shalash also attempted to kick the men and flip them off. She was arrested at the scene. According to the Jew Hate Database, Shalash has a history of posting in support of Hamas violence — including hateful and antisemitic comments — on social media. A disclaimer was added to the post that “Witnesses have stated that Noora appeared unstable and may need mental health support.”
Nihad Awad is the co-founder and Executive Director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR). Under his leadership, CAIR has become the most visible Muslim advocacy group in the United States. Awad has faced longstanding concerns over his ties to Islamist movements and allegations of misconduct. Before founding CAIR, Awad was a senior official at the now-defunct Islamic Association for Palestine (IAP), which was linked to U.S.-based support networks for the Hamas terrorist organization. In 1994, Awad publicly expressed support for Hamas over the Palestine Liberation Organization. Though he later claimed to have changed his views, his past statements and affiliations continue to raise red flags. Awad has also faced scrutiny for his authoritarian control over CAIR. As both Executive Director and a board member, Awad has consolidated power over the nonprofit, preventing internal challenges to his leadership. This has led to claims of a toxic work environment where dissent is punished, allegations of discrimination against Shia Muslims, and efforts to prevent CAIR employees from unionizing. A 2021 NPR report revealed accusations of sexual harassment with claims that Awad himself engaged in inappropriate behavior toward a female employee. Additionally, he and other senior CAIR officials allegedly covered up misconduct within the organization, allowing serial offenders to remain in positions of power. In October 2023, following the Hamas attack that took the lives of more than 1,200 Israeli civilians, Awad gave a speech during the American Muslims for Palestine (AMP) convention in Chicago in which he stated he was “happy to see” the October 7 attack, which he praised as Palestinians “breaking the siege” and “walking free into their land.” Awad’s remarks were widely condemned and resulted in the Biden Administration banning Awad and CAIR from the White House in January 2024. While Awad later attempted to clarify his statements, his comments were seen as an endorsement of terrorism, reinforcing concerns about his longstanding sympathies.
The Party for Socialism and Liberation (PSL) “believes that the only solution to the deepening crisis of capitalism is the socialist transformation of society.” They have consistently engaged in electoral politics, fielding presidential candidates in the 2008, 2012, 2016, and 2020 elections. Beyond its political campaigns, PSL extends its influence through various media platforms. Liberation News, an online newspaper, serves as a conduit for their perspectives and analyses. Breaking the Chains, a print magazine; and Liberation School, operating as an educational website that promotes radical leftist ideologies. The Los Angeles chapter of the organization was responsible for a pair of anti-deportation protests that took place in downtown Los Angeles, California from February 2 to February 7, 2025 which resulted in the vandalism of multiple buildings, police vehicles, and a bus. A man was assaulted by a throng of demonstrators gathered outside City Hall. He was punched, kicked, and beaten while some bystanders attempted to help and others sought to stoke the violence. Reports indicate that many protesters were high school students who had participated in school walkouts to join the movement. On February 7, as part of the multi-day protests, a stabbing occurred resulting in the arrest of a 14-year-old and hospitalization of his 17-year-old victim. Seven police officers were injured in altercations relating to these events.
A member of the U.S. House of Representatives from California, in a CNN interview Congressman Garcia called on fellow Democrats to “bring actual weapons to this bar fight” against Elon Musk “for the sake of democracy.” He also called Musk a “d*ck” and called for people to “push back” on conservative Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene.
A resident of Tennessee, Early was arrested after threatening to burn down a building in Memphis belonging to the xAI artificial intelligence company as well as one of Elon Musk’s data centers. The threats were reported by a friend, who, after hearing comments made by Early regarding his intent, called the police. Police reported that Early had begun to buy ingredients to make Thermite, which he planned to use to burn down the buildings. He was arrested on February 20, 2025, and is facing terrorism charges.
