Imam Tom Facchine

The Research Director of Islam and Society at the Yaqeen Institute and an active writer within Islamic circles within the United States, in an interview conducted three days after the October 7 Hamas attack that left more than 1,200 Israeli civilians dead, Facchine proclaimed unequivocal support for the terrorist assault, stating, “We are with the Palestinian resistance 100%, no ifs no ands, no buts, no equivocations, no apologies, no condemnations.”

Islamic Circle of North America

An offshoot of the Southeast Asian Islamist group Jamaat-e-Islami, the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA) has been described by the Investigative Project on Terrorism as an “ideological cousin” of the Muslim Brotherhood. Following the October 7 Hamas terrorist attack that left more than 1,200 Israeli civilians dead, ICNA blamed Israel for the violence while omitting mention of Hamas entirely. In 2010, ICNA published a handbook that quotes the founder of the Muslim Brotherhood and endorses violent jihad against so-called “occupiers” of Muslim land, as well as the institution of Sharia law. The handbook has since been removed from ICNA’s website.

Adalah Justice Project

A prominent pro-Hamas advocacy group, Abdalah Justice Project (AJP) has elicited controversy for its extremist positions. Following the October 7 Hamas terrorist attack that left more than 1,200 Israeli civilians dead, AJP posted an image of a bulldozer breaking through the border fence with the caption “No cage goes unchallenged.” AJP executive director Sandra Tamari supported the October 7 attacks on the grounds that it demonstrated “the oppressed rising up.”

Alasna Institute

A known Islamic apologist group, the Alasna Institute purports to be an academic resource for Muslim research with the goal of providing Muslims “exactly the information and skills they need to be empowered in their faith and dawah.” Following the October 7 Hamas terrorist attack that left more than 1,200 Israeli civilians dead, Alasna Institute founder Daniel Haqiqatiou wrote, “The recent actions by Hamas are not acts of terrorism; they are acts of resistance.”

Sandra Tamari

The executive director of the Adalah Justice Project, Tamari described the October 7 Hamas terrorist attack that killed more than 1,200 Israeli civilians as an example of “the oppressed rising up,” and said that that “Hamas’s attack was resistance to an intolerable situation that has been taking place in the Gaza Strip.”

Tarek Bazzi

A Michigan activist affiliated with the Hadi Institute, Bazzi spoke at an International Al-Quds Day rally in Dearborn on April 5, 2024, during which protesters chanted “Death to America” and “Death to Israel.” He accused the United States of funding genocide in Gaza and he said that it is not merely “Genocide Joe” Biden that “has to go,” but rather the entire United States system that “has to go.” He also proudly embraced the label “anti-American” to describe the Al-Quds celebration.

Loudoun County Love Warriors

Loudoun County Love Warriors is a Facebook group devoted to doxing, harassing, and threatening violence against parents in Loudoun County, Virginia concerned with school curriculum. Members of the group have also schemed to get people fired from their jobs. A whistleblower report alleges the group drafted a list of more than 100 “enemies” that included elected officials, political candidates, and a church. According to the whistleblower, one member of the Love Warriors group stated of one of the people on the list that they would “burn him into the ground” and said of another parent that it was “lucky there are laws because she would be curb-stomped.” Terrified parents refused to attend school board meetings as a result. An informant who infiltrated the Facebook group in the summer of 2023 was allegedly threatened by a member of the Love Warriors named Derek Summers. The severity of the alleged threats was intense enough to make the informant, Stacy Maria Markus, believe her life was in danger of being taken by a contract killer.

Minnesota Abortion Action Committee

A pro-choice activist group based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the Minnesota Abortion Action Committee has a history of targeting pro-life pregnancy centers with violent rhetoric and imagery. The Committee once had a for sale depicting a specific pregnancy center, First Care, in flames with a caption stating “The Christian Right Is Wrong.”

Peggy Flanagan

The Lieutenant Governor of Minnesota, in March 2023 Flanagan was photographed wearing a shirt in celebration of an executive order handed down by then Governor Tim Walz regarding the medical gender transition treatment of minors. The shirt depicted a hunting knife and the words “protect trans kids.” The combination of a combat knife and political slogans is common among ANTIFA militants.

Phil Lowcock

An academic and a former instructor at Kansas State University, in October 2024 — a few weeks before Election Day in the United States — Lowcock stated that any man who refused to vote for Kamala Harris should be “lined up and shot.” Backlash was swift soon after Lowcock’s comments were made public via a university video shared on social media. Both sitting U.S. Senators from Kansas called for Lowcock’s resignation, as did many social media users. Lowcock left his position at Kansas State University soon thereafter.
