Washington Times: ‘Worst of the Woke’ awards go to big names

The Washington Times interviewed NTC President Gregory T. Angelo about NTC’s annual Worst of the Woke listing which includes names such as Disney, Super Bowl, and the Olympics. During the interview, Angelo emphasized the importance of Worst of the Woke to ensuring that institutions are held accountable to their customer base. “It’s also important to note that there are very large, very well-funded, very powerful institutions that are pushing a leftist ideological agenda throughout our culture,” Angelo said. “It’s important to take the list just as seriously as one might find it amusing.” Read the full story here.

A well-known trans activist based in Chicago, in December 2024 McIntyre had an encounter with Congresswoman Nancy Mace (R-SC) in which she alleges McIntyre assaulted her. Mace received hospital treatment for a broken wrist and McIntyre was arrested on charges of misdemeanor assault.

Julia Alekseyeva

An Assistant Professor of English and Cinema & Media Studies at the University of Pennsylvania and a self-described “socialist and ardent antifascist,” in November 2024, shortly after the apprehension of UPenn alum Luigi Mangione under accusations of murdering United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson in cold blood, Alekseyeva posted a TikTok video of her smiling while playing a Les Misérables tune with the caption “Have never been prouder to be a professor at the University of Pennsylvania.” A University of Pennsylvania spokesperson condemned Alekseyeva’s behavior, calling it “antithetical to the values of both the School of Arts and Sciences and the University of Pennsylvania.”
