ANTIFA activists in the nation’s capital announced their intention to “shut down” Washington, D.C. during Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s planned visit on July 24.

A nationwide collection of left-wing activists devoted to socialist causes, the Minneapolis, Minnesota-based Freedom Road Socialist Organization joined efforts to disrupt and intimidate attendees of the 2024 Republican National Convention.

The Southern California chapter of ANTIFA is known for engaging in riotous violence. In May 2024, a San Diego jury convicted two Southern California ANTIFA members for conspiracy to riot. The duo planned to aggressively confront Trump supporters at Pacific Beach. They brought weapons and sprayed people with bear spray. Twelve members of ANTIFA Southern California in total were charged in connection with this incident.

The group has stated, “Your protest can NEVER be peaceful if it perpetuates the violence of policing.” In 2020 the Seattle Times reported YLF instructed its members that, “If you see someone smashing windows, shut the f*** up.” YLF has openly called for vandalism and terrorist attacks against prisons. Tennessee Youth Liberation Front
