Western Journal: Disney, Walmart, Other Corporate Giants Named Most “Woke” Organizations of 2021

Major League Baseball and Disney, have made it to a pro-tolerance organization’s “Worst of the Woke” list for 2021. Other icons of modern life enumerated among the “Top 10 Most Hypocritical Institutions of the Year” included Walmart, Facebook and Twitter, according to the New Tolerance Campaign’s list. The New Tolerance Campaign describes itself on its website as “a watchdog organization mobilizing Americans to confront intolerance double-standards by establishment institutions, civil rights groups, universities, and socially-conscious brands. NTC action campaigns empower ordinary Americans to hold accountable self-proclaimed arbiters of tolerance when they betray their own stated values.”  Read more at The Western Journal.

NTC President in Baltimore Sun: Women’s Tennis Association stands up to China after player’s disappearance, showing courage other sports organizations lack

When Chinese tennis star Peng Shuai took to the Chinese social media site Weibo last month to accuse former Vice Premier Zhang Gaoli of sexually assaulting her, her post disappeared moments later — as did Ms. Peng. Her disappearance has captured the world’s attention and drawn a swift and principled reaction from the international Women’s Tennis Association (WTA). Where so many American institutions have caved on their self-proclaimed progressive values in the face of Chinese government pressure, the WTA, headquartered in Florida, has stood firm, offering an admirable example of truly ethical leadership. Washington Times: Conservatives campaign against mandated ‘antiracism’ training for Walmart, CVS workers

Conservative activists have launched a grassroots email campaign to pressure the CEOs of Walmart and CVS to end mandatory “antiracism” workshops that tell employees how to think and talk about White privilege. As of Tuesday morning, activists had sent 1,006 emails to CVS CEO Karen Lynch since Sept. 22 and 646 emails to Walmart CEO Doug McMillon since Oct. 18. The direct message outreach is the brainchild of Gregory T. Angelo, president of the New Tolerance Campaign, a watchdog group that monitors “incidents of cultural intolerance masquerading as tolerance. “When you’re conducting training that pressures employees to disclose their race, religion, gender identity, and sexual orientation, you’re pushing the limits of corporate ethics,” said Mr. Angelo, a former head of the LGBT group Log Cabin Republicans. Washington Examiner: Watchdog to target corporate hypocrisy and ‘cancel culture’

Corporations, civil rights groups, and colleges that demand liberals have the freedom to push their agenda while silencing conservatives are about to face an energized campaign against their hypocrisy and “woke” politics. In a relaunch sparked by the latest assault on conservative voices, the New Tolerance Campaign aims to call out groups caught talking out both sides of their mouths. With an army of 35,000 supporters and a new board of influencers and a new president, NTC is poised to become a national clearinghouse to “confront intolerance double-standards,” said the group. “We would be in a far better place culturally in the United States if our corporations and higher ed and activist nonprofits, if they remain neutral instead of continually engaging on cultural issues that almost always place them on the leftist side of the aisle, as opposed to the right let alone something that’s balanced,” said Gregory T. Angelo, the new president. Read More

PJ Media: ACLU Under Fire for Helping to Destroy Lives of Smith College Workers Falsely Accused of Racism

More than 1,000 people have written to the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), demanding the organization retract and apologize for its smear campaign against working-class victims of a 2018 racial discrimination hoax at Smith College. In July 2018, a black student ate lunch in a closed dorm and falsely claimed that security targeted her due to her race. The ACLU took up her case, framing the issue as racist employees accosting the student for “eating while black.” The New York Times revealed the truth last month, but the ACLU has not retracted or apologized. “The ACLU has ruined the lives of a cafeteria worker and janitor with false accusations of racism,” Nicki Neily, an advisory board member at the New Tolerance Campaign (NTC), said in a statement. “The ACLU must do the right thing by making amends to these individuals.” Read More on PJ Media

The College Fix: Worcester State grants ‘privileges’ to conservative club, it says, after student government denies recognition

Earlier this year, Worcester State University refused to overturn its student government’s denial of recognition to a Turning Point USA chapter, which all evidence suggests was on the basis of the club’s viewpoint. Outside pressure on the public university, from the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education and TPUSA founder Charlie Kirk among others, apparently led the taxpayer-funded institution to relax its non-intervention stance. Jerusalem Post: Thousands call for congressmen to withdraw support for ‘antisemitic’ CAIR

More than 9,000 Americans have signed a petition calling on members of Congress to withdraw statements of support issued to the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR), an organization which the petition’s signatories say is antisemitic. More than 120 members of Congress, including Congressional Progressive Caucus co-chairs Pramila Jayapal and Mark Poucan, and presidential hopefuls, senators Elizabeth Warren and Amy Klobuchar, wrote letters to CAIR last year ahead of the organization’s 25th anniversary, praising its work. The letters were printed in full in the program for a gala held to mark the occasion; three were from Republican representatives. But thousands of Americans have called on the congressmen to renounce their letters, arguing that CAIR is an antisemitic organization and therefore cannot be supported by anyone who claims to oppose racism. PJ Media: New Non-Partisan Group Calls on Amazon to Drop Scandal-Plagued SPLC

Big tech and the media routinely cover for the scandal-plagued far-left smear factory the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), but a new non-partisan initiative has launched a campaign urging Amazon to drop its reliance on the corrupt liberal group. Since its creation two months ago, the New Tolerance Campaign (NTC) has inspired more than 2,000 Americans to demand that universities and influential companies like Amazon hold themselves to “consistent standards of tolerance.” NTC “promotes ‘unbiased tolerance’ by encouraging organizations, businesses, elected officials, and government agencies to maintain clear standards of acceptable conduct.” In that spirit, NTC has rallied Americans against Amazon’s decision to rely on the SPLC’s biased “hate group” accusations to exclude organizations from its AmazonSmile charity program. NTC reminded its followers that the SPLC faced a devastating scandal back in March involving claims of racial discrimination and sexual harassment. That scandal led to the firing of the SPLC’s co-founder, and it broke open even further as employees came clean about being “part of the con,” exaggerating hate by padding the “hate group” list and “bilking northern liberals” into cutting big checks. The SPLC has millions in offshore bank accounts in the Cayman Islands. “New Tolerance Campaign is dedicated to calling out the unequal application of tolerance in mainstream American culture, which has become far too common in recent years. AmazonSmile’s use of the SPLC is a clear case of this ongoing problem,” an NTC spokesperson told PJ Media on Wednesday. Read more from PJ Media
