Aidan Smith

An HR Analyst at UCLA Health according to his since deleted LinkedIn profile, in November 2024 Smith allegedly made threatening remarks to author J.K Rowling and Congresswoman Nancy Mace (R-SC). In response to a tweet Rowling made about John Oliver, Smith stated, “I hope someone m*****s this b*tch soon.” In the same month, Smith allegedly sent a threatening, expletive-laden voicemail to Mace’s office in response to the congresswoman’s transgender bathroom policy, stating he hopes she commits suicide. Smith followed up by saying he will “pray to GOD” that Mace commits suicide. Shortly after these incidents went viral, Smith took down his pages on X and Bluesky (@Aidanrts), but as of December 2024 his X page is active but on “protected” status, and his Bluesky page is also active. Despite the evidence, Smith denies involvement in making the voicemail.

Comrade Workwear

A self-proclaimed socialist apparel company, shortly after the assassination of United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson, Comrade Workwear launched a card game titled “Most Wanted CEO.” According to James Harr the CEO of Comrade Workwear, the cards are inspired by the “Most Wanted Iraqi” card games distributed to coalition forces to target and kill Saddam Hussein’s inner circle during the Gulf War. Harr has made social media posts with images saying, “the CEO must die.” The flipside of the cards in the game includes an image of a red human silhouette gun range target, and the reverse side has the name of a specific CEO or influential person. The game has been heavily criticized for inciting violence and potentially inspiring copycat assassinations.
